Matthew grew up in Frankfort, Illinois. He expects to receive a B.S. in Chemistry from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. In 2023 he joined the van der Donk lab and is currently working on investigating the activity of the chlorinase from the ammosamide pathway with Josseline.
