Denys was raised in Kyiv, capital of Ukraine. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry. Denys joined the van der Donk lab in the spring of 2024, where he began working with Shekhar on the biosynthesis of RiPPs with unusual post-translational modifications.
