Yifei Hu comes from Hangzhou, China. He is currently a freshman majoring in Specialized Chemistry and plans to dual-degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology next academic year. He joined the Van der Donk lab in the Fall of 2024 with Tony Zhang working on the discovery of BGCs containing possible bioactive novel Class I lanthipeptides.
